Josh Fershee

Professor Joshua P. Fershee presented at a national energy conference at Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, Birmgham, Alabama, on February 27, 2009.

The conference, titled Transportation Energy Policy in National and Global Perspective: a New Beginning?, looked at the possibilities for transportation energy policy both for the United States and other nations.

Professor Fershee spoke about the interaction between U.S. energy policy and U.S. transportation policy. He discussed the impacts of, and problems with, the U.S. renewable fuel standard, including the lack of incentives for jet fuel from renewable sources. He also explained how U.S. electricity and natural gas policies impact, and could impact, the future of U.S. transportation.
