Law School Recognized at UND Leadership Awards Program

Students and faculty of the UND School of Law were recognized for outstanding leadership skills at the annual UND Memorial Union Leadership Awards Program held May 1, 2008.

The awards reflect the continued excellence of the students and faculty at the UND School of Law. While maintaining a heavy academic workload, our law community finds the time to be a leader for campus in leadership, programming, and service to the community.

Faculty Award

For the second consecutive year Patti Alleva, Rodney & Betty Webb Professor of Law, received the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award for her work with the Law Women’s Caucus (LWC).

Because of her dedicated leadership and personal involvement in the LWC, Professor Alleva was nominated for the award by LWC President Kara Johnson. "Professor Alleva has a genuine excitement for the activities of the LWC organization and an eagerness to help the organization in any way that she can, said Johnson. "Despite her busy schedule, she always makes time for her students. Students never hesitate to ask for her advice, because they know that she is concerned about their personal well-being and the well-being of the organization."
