Judge Carrigan profile - from Law Matters 2004 (pdf format)

The Carrigan Cup is named for Judge Jim Carrigan a graduate of both UND and UND Law. Judge Carrigan served as Justice to the Supreme Court of Colorado before serving as Disctrict Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He currently resides in the Denver area.

The Carrigan Cup was traditionally a trial competition among individual competitors from UND law and the University of Manitoba. It focused on individual trial skills, but did not include a full trial. The Carrigan Cup has not been held for a number of years.

This year the Carrigan Cup will be an intramural trial competition conducted wholly within the law school community. It will pit teams of two in full trials against one another.

Preliminary rounds, Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15 in the Baker Courtroom.

Final round, April 19, 2007, Baker Courtroom, starting at 4:00 p.m.
